Sport Psychological Profiling
Performance profiling in psychology is an athlete-centred assessment which helps an athlete identify attributes considered important for performance and the athlete rating their ability on these factors.
The profile factors are subjective and can change depending upon who you ask. Below is just an example of a psychological profile for triathletes and how an example athlete would rate on this scale.
These profiles can be useful for athletes to understand where their strengths (outside of physical) are and factors that could be improved.
Below is a blank template for you to fill in your own profile. Self-assessment is always such a great way to improve your physical and mental performances. Looking within yourself to determine how best to utilise your strengths but also what areas you can look to further develop to become a better more well rounded athlete.
